to Work for Your Business

Manufacturer members subscribe to independent, third-party inspection, along with unannounced visits from the CSSB Cedar Quality Auditor, so every shake and shingle meets the Certi-label® standard. This membership also allows you to offer the Lifetime Limited Warranty on jobs completed by Member Contractor/Installers. It's a category built for mills and treaters ready to back their products with a century-old quality mark.

Affiliate membership connects your business to the manufacturers, treaters, and installers who move Certi-label® products from mill to market. You'll gain a listing in the Find a Member directory and access to CSSB literature at cost. It's a straightforward way to align your business with an established standard in the cedar industry.

MCI membership is for contractors who have completed at least three cedar roofing or siding projects and can demonstrate that the work meets CSSB standards. Approved members are listed in the Find a Member directory, where homeowners, builders, and architects search for qualified installers. It's the category for installers ready to have their workmanship measured against a century-old benchmark.

Apprentice Membership is the path to MCI for installers who haven't yet completed three cedar projects. You'll train one-on-one with an assigned District Manager, either in person or through live online sessions, then document your next three cedar shake or shingle installations as you complete them. Once those requirements are complete, your file is reviewed for promotion to full Member Contractor Installer.
